According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, one person was killed and another was injured in a crash near K-254 and Greenwich early Saturday morning.
The crash occurred around 2:40 a.m. after reports of a truck driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of K-254 near 127th St. East. The crash occurred soon afterward.
The Sheriff’s Department said the crash involved two vehicles. A 19 year old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries.
The crash caused the eastbound lanes of K-254 from Webb to Greenwich to be closed for some time. Authorities are investigating what factors may have led up to the incident.
