The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded the boil water advisory for the City of Spivey, located in Kingman County.

The advisory was issued because of a loss of pressure in the distribution system, which could have resulted in the loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.

Laboratory testing samples collected from the city indicated no evidence of contamination.
