Officials at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita reported a security incident Tuesday afternoon.
Outbound traffic was stopped at the base around 1 p.m., but traffic going into the base was not affected. A short time later, the base issued a message on Facebook saying that the situation was resolved and normal operations had resumed. The message said drivers should be prepared for delays in leaving the base.
No details have been released on the incident.
