The Kansas Highway Patrol identifies 31-year-old Sandy Reyes, of Wichita, as the driver killed in a crash on I-235 Tuesday afternoon.
According to a crash report, a pickup pulling a trailer was headed north on I-235, near West, when the trailer came unhitched. That trailer went across a median and into oncoming traffic headed south, hitting a car being driven by Reyes. She was the only person in the car that was hit.
Southbound lanes were closed and traffic was diverted onto West Street after the crash.
