KBI says improvised explosive devices found in western Kansas

KBI says improvised explosive devices found in western Kansas

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is working with Logan County officials after some improvised explosive devices were found on a rural property.

The devices were found Monday morning on a property at 2504 U.S. Highway 83 in rural Logan County.   Agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were called in along with the KHP Hazardous Device Unit to take charge of the explosives.   Logan County sheriff’s deputies and fire officials were also working at the scene, and the public was being asked to avoid the area.

The investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made.   Anyone with information is urged to contact the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME or the Logan County Sheriff’s Office at 785-671-3288.
