Airlines are continuing to cut flights at Wichita’s Eisenhower National Airport due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Frontier will provide service on Saturdays in April, and one Sunday, April 5.  Allegiant has canceled some flights to Phoenix-Mesa, Las Vegas, and Destin the first week in April and continues to evaluate and adjust its schedule.

“In an effort to encourage flying, airlines have slashed fares, and waived change fees and cancellation fees. Passengers should refer to the airlines’ websites for updated policy information,” said Eisenhower Airport. “It is hoped that after the coronavirus has passed, flights are filled with passengers taking much-needed vacations, and business travelers taking necessary trips. A strong and healthy airline industry is absolutely vital to a vibrant economy.”

Capacity at Eisenhower National Airport dropped 28% from March.  There are now 298 fewer flights and 25,446 fewer seats scheduled.
