Police said a 16-year-old girl was injured when she slid off the hood of a moving vehicle in a south Wichita parking lot.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. Sunday at a shopping center at 47th Street South and Broadway. Police said a 17-year-old girl was driving recklessly in the parking lot while a 16-year-old girl was riding on the hood. The younger girl slid off and ended up with a head injury, and she was taken to a hospital.
The driver was released to the custody of a parent.
