The leader of a Satanic group in Kansas was taken into custody after a scuffle broke out Friday morning during a “Black Mass” that was organized by the group.
TV cameras showed Satanic Grotto leader Michael Stewart walking into the Statehouse and raising his arms when he got under the rotunda. He was challenged by several people and then a shoving match broke out. Capitol police took Stewart into custody and took him into a room at the Statehouse.
A “Black Mass” was held outside the building, and several Christian groups held counter-protests during the event.
