Police have declared an area of the Wichita State University campus as clear after a bomb threat Thursday night.
Officers were called to a report of a suspicious device that was found around 9:30 p.m. near 17th and Yale Drive, on the south edge of the WSU campus. Two buildings were evacuated and people were advised to stay away from the area.
Police later said there was no risk from the device and students were allowed back into the area. It was later reported that the device was a homemade drone that had crashed.
