Wesley Healthcare has opened a new free-standing emergency room in Andover.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for Wesley Andover ER, a 14,000-square-foot building at 221 West Highway 54. It will treat a wide range of general and specific conditions, including infections, chest pain and broken bones, and it will offer a number of diagnostic services on site.
The new Andover location opened on March 4th, and it expands Wesley’s Emergency Care Network to five emergency rooms serving the entire Wichita metropolitan area, including additional free-standing ERs in Derby and West Wichita and hospital ERs at Wesley Medical Center and Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER.
The facility has a staff of 26, including board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses, 12 private treatment rooms, digital diagnostic equipment, including CT, ultrasound and portable X-ray machines, and an on-site laboratory. It will also feature telemedicine technology, allowing patients to benefit from the full depth of Wesley Healthcare’s expertise and resources across its network.
