Today, the AWESOME is in Altadena, California. 2025 got off to a rough start for the state of California and its residents due to the wildfires that caused so much damage and loss of life. It will take some time for lives to return to normal, but actor Steve Carell is doing his part to help students return to normal just a little bit sooner than expected. The actor teamed up with Alice’s Kids, a Virginia-based charity, to cover the cost of prom tickets for seniors in six Altadena high schools, helping those kids recently impacted by the fires. Thanks to Carell and Alice’s Kids, these seniors can celebrate a well-earned night of fun—without the financial stress.
