A Newton man was killed late Monday night in a one-vehicle crash in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a pickup was going north on 16th Avenue east of McPherson, and it reached a dead-end at U.S. Highway 81. The truck struck the dead-end guardrail and a culvert before coming to rest.
The driver, 51-year-old Sam Dial of Newton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
