A trial date has been scheduled for the wife of a Sedgwick County Commissioner on a misdemeanor charge of electioneering.
Meghan Blubaugh, wife of District 2 Commissioner Jeff Blubaugh, was charged in November. She is accused of wearing a Blubaugh campaign t-shirt to an advanced voting location on October 29th.
Meghan Blubaugh made her first appearance in court on Thursday, and her bond was set at $2,500. She was released on her own recognizance and a bench trial has been scheduled for February 6th.
Jeff Blubaugh was elected to the County Commission in the November election and he took office earlier this month.
