An unidentified woman was taken to a hospital after a shooting incident early Tuesday in west Wichita.
The shooting was reported at a hotel shortly before 6 a.m. in the 5800 block of West Kellogg. Officers found a woman in her 20s who had two gunshot wounds to her lower body. She was taken to a hospital in serious condition but police said her injuries were not life-threatening.
The woman told officers that she knows the suspect, and police believe the shooting was drug-related. The investigation is continuing.
