The Fire Departments for Wichita and Sedgwick County have won the annual Battle of the Badges blood drive for the sixth year in a row.
The American Red Cross Kansas organization has announced the winner of the 30th Battle of the Badges. This is a friendly competition each year between Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS where blood donors vote for first responder agencies.
The Red Cross said 823 people donated whole blood during the drive and 685 people donated platelets. The drive ran from December 6th through December 31st.
