Reno County officials are continuing the search for a man who has been missing since Thursday.
A Silver Alert was issued for 80-year-old Gary Foster, who was last seen at 9811 S. Peace Road in western Reno County. He was wearing blue jeans and a plaid button-up long-sleeve shirt, and he is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 178 pounds with hazel eyes, a gray beard and grayish brown hair. He was believed to have left the area on foot in an unknown direction.
Officials said Foster has Alzheimer’s and is diabetic.
Volunteers were searching the area on horseback, on ATVs and using drones and small aircraft. The Sheriff’s Office was asking residents in western Reno County to check any and all buildings, cars, barns, and places anyone would go to take shelter. Hunters and anyone else with trail cams were asked to check for images. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
