Former KFDI announcer Pat James died suddenly Tuesday at his home in Maize.
He worked at KFDI from the late 1990s to 2004 before moving to St. Louis to work for WIL. He returned to Kansas to work for Eagle Media Hutchinson and he had been the morning show host for Country 102.9, KHUT, since 2017.
James was a two-time winner of the Medium and Major Market Personality of the Year from the Country Music Association.
