An annual Thanksgiving event will prepare over 200 holiday meals to Wichita families in need.
The Honore Adversis Foundation, The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5, the Wichita Wagonmasters, and a number of local businesses and restaurants are sponsoring the annual Gary R. Sawyer Thanksgiving Smoke event on Tuesday.
The Wagonmasters and other volunteers will be cooking, preparing and delivering holiday meals. The event begins around 8 a.m. in the west parking lot at Cowtown, and the meals will be delivered between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
