A Wichita man has been sentenced to just over two-and-a-half years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run incident that happened earlier this year.

A judge sentenced 37-year-old Cody Cox to 31 months in prison with 24 months of post-release supervision.  Cox had pleaded guilty in September to a charge of failing to stop at an accident resulting in death.

Prosecutors said 52-year-old James Dolton of Wichita died after his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle on January 8th in the 2400 block of South Seneca.
