Today, we salute Veteran Luis Martinez Jr. After spending five years in the Marines, Luis combined his love for Bourbon and his passion for helping his fellow Veterans to found the non-profit Whiskey Valor. Martinez decided there was a need for an organization like his while working with other nonprofits, such as the Pat Tillman Foundation and Travis Manion Foundation. Luis recognizes there is a negative stigma with Veterans and drinking, but he’s working to change that. Doing that includes educating veterans about responsible drinking and providing them with mental health resources and safe drinking initiatives.
