The Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL are helping a grieving family affected by a crash in southeast Kansas. The team has donated ten-thousand dollars to the family of a teenage fan from Oklahoma who was killed in a car crash Saturday, November 2nd.

Family members said 18-year-old Connor Barba of Norman, Oklahoma had just gotten tickets for his birthday to last Monday night’s game against the Chiefs in Kansas City. He was looking forward to seeing his favorite player, quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield told ESPN he’s honored and humbled knowing Connor was such a big fan.

Barba was killed in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 169 in Montgomery County, Kansas.
