A proposed Buc-ee’s Family Travel Center in Kansas City, Kansas, is one step closer to reality. The Unified Government of Wyandotte County’s Board of Commissioners has given final approval to a plan for the store.

Construction is expected to begin in May, and the 74,000-square-foot facility near the Kansas Speedway is scheduled to open in May 2027. The project is expected to cost nearly $95 million.

The Buc-ee’s in Kansas will have 120 gas pumps and 12 electric charging stations.  There will be 560 parking spaces to handle a large number of visitors, peak demands and employee parking.
