Butler County prosecutors have filed a motion to have two teenage girls tried as adults in the murder of an Augusta woman.
The two 14-year-old girls were arrested in August for the death of 93-year-old Joanne Johnson, who was found dead in her home on September 3rd, 2023. The girls are only known by their initials, I.H. and A.W.
A hearing has been scheduled for December 10th to determine if the teens will be tried as adults. The girls remain in juvenile detention.
