Today, we salute Marine Veteran Steve Cockhill. Growing up in Chicago, Steve said he never had Halloween as a kid because his family moved around so much. He has called Lubbock, TX, home for some time now, and for the last 12 years, he has been turning his yard into a ghoulish, spooky graveyard to make memories with his daughter. His daughter says they try to add something every year. Beyond making memories, Steve says he does it because he believes it’s important to be with your neighbors and get to know them. So Steve started inviting families over for food, fellowship, and fun. Steve warned that if you think his Halloween decorations are over the top, you should wait until Christmas. Thank you for bringing the community together, Steve, and THANK YOU for your service.
