There were so many incredible moments last night when Jelly Roll’s “Beautifully Broken” tour stopped at Intrust Bank Arena.  Alexander Kay and Warren Zeiders were fantastic live and just as genuine as Jelly Roll.

From start to finish, the sold-out arena was hanging on his every word. Then Jelly Roll stopped the show to talk about one of the songs on his new album called “My Cross.” It is a song inspired by his daughter that talks about him not passing down his generational issues to her.

He also did something really smart. He offered his new “Beautifully Broken (Pickin’ Up The Pieces)” deluxe album for just $5. You could get it at the merch table or scan the QR code on the screen, and 100% of the proceeds went to mental health charities. I got mine and can’t wait to listen to the whole thing.

Finally, I think my favorite part of the night was when he stopped down, talked about how everyone was going through stuff, and then told everyone at the show to stand up and hug or high-five a stranger. I got a hug, handed out a hug, and gave a couple of high-fives, and I loved it.

The whole show last night was an experience that is hard to forget.
