Today, we salute WWII Veteran John Eakin. At 19, John was drafted into the United States Army. He served in WWII in the 34th Red Bull Division, battling on the front lines of Italy. After his service, he went on to be a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He says he’s lucky to have children, family, and friends. He’s also happy because recently, he turned 100 and celebrated with his local community and another Veteran, Marion Noel, who turned 99.
