An unidentified woman was taken to a hospital with critical injuries after a shooting early Saturday in southeast Wichita.
Officers were called to a report of shots fired near Harry and Rock Road around 2:45 a.m. A 19-year-old woman appeared at a hospital a short time later with a head injury.
Police are still investigating and no other information has been released.
In a separate incident, another 19-year-old woman turned up at a hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting in south Wichita. The shooting was reported around 5:45 a.m. near Skinner and Washington, a block north of the intersection of Mt. Vernon and Washington. Police are still looking into the circumstances.
