Bank of America has had an outage in its online services, but officials said the problems have been largely fixed.
Customers first reported problems accessing their accounts just before 1 p.m. Eastern on Downdetector. There have been reports about not being able to log into accounts or account balances either not showing or displaying zero balances.
A message saying “Accounts temporarily unavailable” greeted some customers who were able to log in either online or using the bank’s app.
Bank of America has not revealed the cause of the issues, but a statement was issued later in the day saying that issues were being addressed and have largely been resolved. It’s not clear when all systems will be back to normal.
