Songwriter Billy Edd Wheeler has died at the age of 91. Wheeler wrote songs that have been recorded by over 100 artists, including Johnny and June Carter Cash, Neil Young and Elvis Presley. He’s best known for songs like “Coward of the Country,” which was a number one country hit for Kenny Rogers in 1979.

Kelsea Ballerini is trying her hand at acting in the new NBC series “Dr. Odyssey”, staring Ryan Murphy and Wichita’s own Don Johnson. Kelsea will appear in one episode and says her character is fun and appreciates the support from her actor boyfriend, Chase Stokes.  “Dr. Odyssey” debuts tomorrow.
