He was a legend in Wichita…if you lived in the city any time over the past few decades, you might have had an encounter with a man lovingly called “Crazy Mike”. Michael Lee Wolfberg was a handsome, brilliant, kind individual who also suffered from bipolar disorder. Wolfberg’s sister Kerri Lacher posted on a Facebook page created in his honor all about his life, his accomplishments and his struggle with mental illness. The “Crazy Mike Sightings” Facebook page was created so that folks could share their experiences with Mike and keep track of him. Lacher posted on that page that Mike passed away on the 17th from kidney failure. Michael Lee “Crazy Mike” Wolfberg was 70. Fly free, Mike. The family asks that tributes to Mike be made in the form of a donation to the National Institute of Mental Health.
