A road rage incident involving a gun has resulted in the arrest of a teen from Southeastern Kansas. The Allen County Sheriff’s office reports residents from Chanute traveling to Humboldt on Old Hwy 169 were passed by a Jeep traveling at a high rate of speed and then proceeded to brake check in front of them several times. The Chanute residents tried to get away from the vehicle, leap-frogging with the Jeep before it passed them and a gun was pointed at them. The driver and passenger were located and detained. Officers found and seized a .45 caliber handgun, along with bottles of liquor, nicotine, and THC vapes, along with alleged narcotics and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. The 17-year-old female driver from Buffalo was arrested. She faces numerous felony charges.
