The Exploration Place museum in Wichita is hosting its third Drone Light Festival this weekend.   The event will feature 300 drones choreographed with music to create a light show over the Arkansas River.

The show this year coincides with the grand opening of the new Wichita Foundation Amphitheater.   The drones will launch from the Mid-America All-Indian Museum grounds, allowing the show to be seen over the Keeper of the Plains sculpture.    The show will include the lighting of the Keeper firepots, weather permitting.  The show also features floating Chinese water lanterns in the reflecting pond, along with a candlelit concert.   There will also be live music, vendors, food, games and demonstrations.

The show runs Friday through Sunday.   Gates open at 6 p.m. with the drone light show starting at 9 p.m.  Tickets are $12 for members and $15 for non-members.   A carload pass allowing for parking and admission for up to nine people, will be $65 for members and $75 for non-members.
