The Kansas Department of Transportation is hosting an open house Wednesday for a planned corridor study of K-15 between Wichita and Derby.

This will be a come-and-go event where people can look at the early project data, provide input and talk with KDOT staff.   There will not be a formal presentation.  This will be the first of three public meetings that will be held before the study is completed in the spring of 2025.

The study focuses on K-15 from 95th Street South to I-135.   It will look at improvements to lengthen the life of the current K-15 corridor and outline some future changes.  The study will include input from the public, community leaders, property owners and key commercial developers, along with the Kansas Turnpike Authority and officials from Wichita, Sedgwick County and Derby.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Venue in Derby’s Madison Avenue Central Park, at 512 East Madison.
