Wichita police have reported the arrest of a 23-year-old man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that happened last weekend.
The man was arrested on a charge of felony hit-and-run, and information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for the filing of charges.
Officers found 43-year-old Thomas “Tad” Doyle around 2 a.m. Sunday, August 18th in the 2400 block of North Hoover Road. He had been riding an electric bicycle north on Hoover Road and he was hit by a northbound SUV that left the area. Doyle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing the investigation and they’re asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 316-268-4407, or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
