Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager with serious injuries at a west Wichita apartment complex.
The shooting was reported around 4 p.m. at Morgan’s Landing Apartments at 3801 West 13th, near 13th and West Street. Officers found a car that had crashed into a fence and an 18-year-old man was found about a block away with gunshot injuries to his legs. He was taken to a hospital.
Two other teens were in the car with the victim but they left the scene. Police have been looking for them as they gather more information on the shooting.
