2. Wichita Animal Action League just received a significant boost to their mission in the form of a $50,000 grant to support pet owners in the Hilltop neighborhood. This grant is part of the PetSmart Charities Incubator grant program, which provides funds to animal rescues to increase resources in underserved areas, many of which lack access to community support, including veterinary services.
3. Brazil has begun construction on Latin America’s first maximum-security bio lab. The facility will study some of the world’s most dangerous pathogens native to the region. What could possibly go wrong.

4. Chick-fil-A is planning to launch its own streaming service this year. The fast-food company’s platform would be marketed as family-friendly, with an emphasis on reality television. Reportedly, they have already placed a 10-episode order for a game show from the companies behind NBC’s “The Wall”. Let’s just hope they don’t call the new streaming service “My Pleasure”.
5. and ladies, make room on your shoe rack at home for Sneex. Sneex are a stiletto-heeled sneaker mashup created by Sara Blakely, the woman who 25 years ago created the billion dollar brand, Spanx. The Sneex looks like an athletic shoe and a Jimmy Choo had a baby. I think this is a great idea, but where were these when I dressed in drag because my heels were killin’ me.
