Police took a 30-year-old Wichita man into custody after a hit-and-run crash on the city’s east side.

The crash was reported late Sunday night at Central and Bristol, near Central and Greenwich Road.   Police said a car failed to yield the right of way and struck a motorcycle.  The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and he was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the car was later arrested and booked for aggravated battery while driving under the influence, and for failure to stop at an accident.
