I’ve been lucky enough to chat with Drew Baldridge a couple of times.
Last year on an episode of “Beginnings”
and early this year on JJ on Demand
and each time, my takeaway has been here’s a dude who is down to earth, persistent, positive, steeped in faith and a ‘don’t give up’ attitude. Over the years between the start of his music career and Covid to struggling to get noticed by the labels – there were plenty of times he could have thrown his hands up and said, “That’s it, I give up,” but he didn’t.
Good thing too, because his hit, “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” is 8 spots away from #1 and if, I mean WHEN that happens, he’ll make music history as the first independent to do it. It’s like me, writing my first book, self publishing and it going to the top of the NY Times Bestseller List. I’m cheering him on loudly with a lot of people, but nobody is cheering louder than Drew himself.
