Today we honor Veteran Airborne Ranger Howie Sanborn. During his service he was a demonstrator for the U.S. Army parachute team. In 2012, after his service Howie was paralyzed from the waist down after being struck by a distracted driver while he was biking. It was an accident that could have completely brought his life to a standstill. Instead, Howie was determined to reinvent himself and he did. Seven months after the accident, he completed his first triathlon as a wheelchair athlete. He has since medaled in three Warriors Games and one Invictus Games and now he is on Team USA and ready to make his first appearance at the Paralympics Games in Paris. Congratulations on making the team Howie and THANK YOU for your service.
