Police have arrested two suspects for a shooting that was reported late Monday morning at an east Wichita apartment complex.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m. in the 200 block of North Rock Road. Officers found 25-year-old Sebastian Crawford of Wichita dead at the scene.
Several people, including two juveniles, were in the apartment where the shooting took place. There were no other injuries, but a woman was taken to a hospital for observation for a condition that was not related to the shooting.
Police arrested a 22-year-old Wichita man for second degree reckless murder and a 50-year-old man was arrested for criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for formal charges. This is Wichita’s 18th homicide of 2024.
