Today, we honor wounded Marine Veteran Cpl. Sebastian Gallegos. Sebastian served in the Marine Corps and was wounded in Afghanistan by an IED. He lost his arm and following his years-long recovery from his injuries in Afghanistan, he retired in 2015. Gallegos received several decorations including a Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation. Today, he still struggles with arthritis, nerve damage and shrapnel wounds. Yesterday thanks to the non-profit Helping a Hero, he and his wife and son received the keys to a brand new adaptive home. It includes things like a specially designed shower and a metal platform to push on his prosthetic arm so he no longer tears up drywall. Congratulations on your new home Sebastian and THANK YOU for your service.
