The Greater Wichita Ministerial League, the City of Wichita, the Wichita Police Department and other organizations are organizing a special event to call for peace in the community.
The “Unity in the Community March and Rally” will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 10 a.m. It will begin at 21st and Opportunity Drive.
City Council Member Brandon Johnson said the event is being held to take a stand against the violence that has claimed lives in the community. He said there will be other march and rally events this summer at other locations in the city.
