A staff member in the Maize school district has been placed on administrative leave after an incident at Maize South High School.
The district said the staff member made an “inappropriate use of sarcasm during class,” and that led to an investigation by district officials and police. They determined that there was no threat to students or the school, and there was no safety concern.
The district is handling the situation as a personnel matter and no other information has been released.
