The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshal’s Service recently completed a one-week operation to check on registered sex offenders.
The check was called Operation New Day Follow-up, and it was a continuation of an operation that was conducted in the second quarter of 2023.
From March 18th to March 22nd, deputies conducted 358 compliance checks on registered sex offenders in Sedgwick County and verified 345 offenders as compliant. There was one offender found to be non-compliant, 12 offenders that have yet to be verified, and one offender arrested for a warrant unrelated to the Offender Registration Act.
