Wichita Festivals, Inc. has made the first announcement of its concert lineup for the upcoming Riverfest celebration. Platinum-selling artist Hunter Hayes will perform on Saturday, June 1st.
Hayes is known for playing every instrument on his records. The Louisiana native has garnered over 2 billion on-demand global streams since the release of his debut album, along with six gold and platinum-certified singles.
2024 Riverfest General Chair Troy Palmer said in a press release that more concerts and activities will be announced in the next few weeks.
Riverfest also announced an increase in the price of its admission buttons. Button sales will begin Monday, April 15th, and prices will be $20 for adults and $10 for children 6-11, while children 5 and under and free. Wichita Festivals president and CEO Nancy Duling said it was a tough decision, but prices had to be increased to continue the legacy of Riverfest and to keep it as a unique event.
This is the 52nd year of Riverfest, and it will run from May 31st through June 8th downtown and at locations along the Arkansas River.
