1.  The legal battle at the Texas border continues as an appeals court just blocked the new Texas immigration law that would allow law enforcement to arrest and charge anyone caught entering the country illegally.  If found guilty, a person could be facing 6 months in jail as a first time offender up to 20 years.  Texas would also have the right to send them back to Mexico.

2. The Chili Buns are coming. The Wichita Windsurge will be changing their name for a few games this season to honor the delicious midwest combo of Chili and Cinnamon Rolls. The new uniforms were revealed yesterday. The Wind Surge open their season at home April 5th against the Frisco Roughriders

3. Say what you want about “climate change”, but we can all agree it is always changing. The World Meteorological Organization released its annual global climate assessment. The results showed that March 2023 to February 2024 was the warmest 12-month period in 174 years of record keeping.  Side effects of this could be that the Arctic is projected to be ice free for the first time ever in the summer of 2030.

Welcome to the dinner party era, and I have been living here for years.  Gen Zers and Millenials are the latest groups to embrace the idea of entertaining a group of friends at home.  This has created a boom in the dinner party – home catering business. Dinner party searches are up 148%. Maybe I should try home catering dinner parties as a side hustle.
