Wichita police said a standoff ended peacefully Friday afternoon after a report of a disturbance with a weapon in the area of Central and Webb Road.
A woman called 911 to report a domestic violence incident and there was someone armed with a knife. Wichita police, Sedgwick County deputies, a SWAT team and the ICT-1 team went to the home and began negotiating with a man inside a home.
The man gave up after three hours and he was taken into custody, and there were no injuries.
Police reported on social media that Webb Road was closed between Central and Douglas. It was reopened after the standoff ended.
