Investigators believe a welding spark may have caused a fire that damaged a building at a Cheney car dealership late Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 5:45 p.m. at the Lubbers dealership on Main Street. Crews from Cheney and the Sedgwick County Fire Department were called to the scene and they had the fire out in less than half an hour.
The fire was contained to the service area, and crews kept it away from the main office and the lot.
No injuries were reported.
