At this point, there is no denying the gifts and skills Luke Combs possesses as a singer and songwriter. His career has been a country music juggernaut. I mean, all the man does is write and sing #1 songs. Of the 18 singles he has released, 16 have gone #1. If he were a baseball player, his batting average would be super human.
So, “you see me scrollin…..you waitin’…patrollin……waiting to get down and dirty” – and yesterday I saw his post about being back in the studio. Ball cap on backwards, game face on, leaning over a sound board, singing while holding a phone that clearly holds the lyrics to the next great Luke Combs masterpiece. If Luke keeps being Luke, you know it won’t be long before he starts teasing the hooks of some of these future its….LET’S GO!!
and finally, it was the ripe old age of 49 that I shotgunned my first beer (Mother Jane would be so proud). Watching Luke teach how to do it to a foreign journalist, is gonna bring the smiles.
