IYKYK.  While I’m not a whiskey and bourbon connesieur – I have been known to enjoy a couple of fingers neat on Friday night pizza night. I enjoy trying different brands, finding a short list of “go to” brands (funny, that list is growing, I clearly need to be more decisive”.  Here are some of my favs:

but, and come at me if you must.  I’ve never been a fan of Buffalo Trace.  If you haven’t seen the documentary where millions of dollars worth gets “embezzled” it’s crazy.  That’s when I first heard about it years ago and tried it.  Just didn’t do anything for me.  To me, there were better bourbons to spend money on.

Fast forward to tomorrow, Thursday Jan. 4, 2024.  That’s when Buffalo Trace releases it’s collaboration with Chris Staplton called “Travellers Whiskey”.  There seems to be so much upside to this. The early reviews are very favorable, the price point is attractive at $40 and it’s CHRIS F’N STAPLETON.
